Nature serves as a major source of inspiration for most of my designs. I have a deep passion for biology and find joy in exploring ways to incorporate the beauty of nature into our everyday lives. Nature gives us a sense of awe, reminding us that the world is vastly bigger than we can possibly imagine. It offers us a fresh perspective and opens our minds to new possibilities. With everyone encapsulated by skyscrapers and urban chaos, we are constantly surrounded by stress. This is the main reason why nature inspires me to create designs that invite us to reconnect with it. I believe that we can design spaces that allow us to rekindle our connection with nature and restore balance to our lives.

The textures and patterns of the rocks I discovered along the ocean's shore inspire my sculptures' designs. The photograph provided shows a rock with porous holes created by water erosion, a texture that immediately captivated my interest. I decided to research further and explore how I could incorporate this intriguing texture into my artwork.
Water erosion is a natural process that transforms the surface of rocks through the physical and chemical reactions caused by exposure to the elements. In this instance, the salt in the ocean water is the reason for this rock's unique erosion patterns. The texture you observed was created through a process known as corrosion, where contact between the water and salt starts to dissolve the limestone, leading to the creation of these one-of-a-kind textures.
Inspired by the textures and patterns of the rocks, I created a pair of sculptures. Nature remains a timeless source of inspiration, and I believe that by observing and experimenting with nature's elements, artists can nurture a limitless wellspring of creative ideas.
